What does delayed cord clamping do? I asked someone on here and got no response
Lmao you're gonna be there for a hot minute @annabellemaesmommy
I plan on bringing my first draft of a birth plan with me next time to talk about it with mine @annabellemaesmommy
@peanuts1mom, me too, my doc never gives me time to ask all my questions & ill be 37 weeks then so i have this semi-long list of things i am making damn sure i know before i leave that appt lol
that's what I did @annabellemaesmommy I also plan on asking at my appointment next week
@theinkedbarbie, I'll ask just to be safe but the probably do @peanuts1mom me too @mrscruz0530 I sure will. I'm asking at my 1/11 appt
@blessedmamaof3, i suggest writing up a birth plan & putting it in your birth plan. You can ask your doc if they allow it, but they should
I plan on asking for this or finding a different doctor/hospital even if it is last minute
depends on the hospital but I think must of them allow that option yes @blessedmamaof3
I had no idea. Can this be requested at the hospital @peanuts1mom
it's let's all the oxygen in the blood that's still in the cord be delivered to baby so if baby isn't breathing as soon as they pull him/her out all the way they won't suffocate until they start to breathe
The placenta keeps pumping blood/nutrients into the baby so delaying clamping the cord gives them all the nutrients from the placenta
Hahaha forreal! But im tired of him acting like im not important enough for him to spend 5 extra minutes in my room so i can ask my questions 😒
