well I freaked out and thought I was having a miscarriage BC I seen spotting and they thought it'd be better to just do it at the er while I was there just in case. with my first pregnancy I think I was 20+ weeks
@juliannap, I have the RH- blood too, my blood is that A-. I got my shot early because of spotting but, you get it again at 28 weeks pregnant. At anytime you spot, or bleed, you HAVE to have the shot. After you give birth, if you child has a positive blood, you HAVE to get a rhogam shot. When I had my son, he turned out to be A+ blood so, they gave me the rhogam threw an IV. They do this so it doesn't affect your next child.
No, it doesn't hurt. I miscarried twoce before I had my son. The first time they injected it on my butt cheek. It hurt to sit down on it. The second time, it was i injected in my arm. With my son, it was always on the butt cheek. I never looked atbthe needle really but, if I remember correctly, I think it is a medium sized needle. Besides my first time, all the other times I got it, it didn't hurt to sit.
Did you get any side effects? Or was it just the shot and that's it? @ashleynx94 sorry for all the questions. I should be getting mine soon so I want to know what to expect.
you're fine @juliannap. no, no side effects. Yes, just the shot, I had mine done at Kent General Hospital in Dovee, Delaware and it was like a 2 second thing.

Does the shot hurt? Like is it a big needle? And where do they inject it? (Arm, butt, hip?) @ashleynx94
