I keep having sharp pains shooting up and down my upper thighs. this is my first child, so I don't know what contractions are supposed to feel like....help

Contractions feel like menstrual cramps. The shooting pains idk never had them. But you'll know of the contractions...😁 they hurt so bad it takes your breath away 😑
