I used cereal and rice in bottles because of acid reflux too. I've never heard of it causing an ear infection?

I let my baby eat off a spoon then put the rest in her bottle... I've had to use cereal in her bottle since she was a month old because her acid reflux.. She knows she can eat with a spoon or out the bottle ... I've even have given her baby food off a spoon and then formula out her bottle as well.. I think it's all wives tale.. Do what you think is best for your child, if it's a huge concern, consult with the Doctor .. I have heard propped bottles cause ear infections but I don't see how giving food in a bottle can cause one..

idk about it causing an ear infection cause it would be kind of the same as people putting rice cereal in a bottle. just feel like that's kinda making the baby lazy I feel they're gonna Expect everything to go in the bottle..

well shit, it's her baby. lol and those will be her doctor bills if she gets an ear infection. whoever said she was lazy could have simply left it at it can cause ear infections.
