I'm a FTM and a bit overweight, my doctor said gain no more than 20 pounds but I've gained 17 already and I'm only 25…

I ate CLEAN through out my whole last pregnancy, nothing to jeopardize baby or I. Exercise 6xs a week. Drank 2 gallons of water every single day. I gained exactly 50 lbs. and was down to my prepregnancy weight within a couple weeks after baby. Then I dropped 2 pant sizes. As long as we take care of our bodies, they'll take care of us.

With my first pregnancy I was over weight and they didn't want me to gain hardly anything but I gained 70lbs with him. Then I lost 50 within the two months he was born. With my daughter I was told nothing about gaining anything and I lost 30 lbs throughout the whole pregnancy. With this one, I haven't gained or lost.

Don't worry about being overweight a bit as long as you are eating healthy with doing some exercises & taking your vitamins to prevent gestational diabetes & all there's not much you can do. You're pregnant!!! So enjoy it! I'm also a FTM so I hope this helps. Don't let gaining weight during pregnancy get you down, focus on you & your baby! Take this time to really enjoy your pregnancy & get in touch with you body.

@haleygarcia16, no they never did because no pregnant person should have to watch their weight. obviously we are going to put on a lot of weight. an they really can't tell at you for it. it's your body your pregnancy.

I was overweight when I started and (I'm not happy to say this) but I gained about 65lbs through my pregnancy and my dr never said a thing about my weight gain. And my daughter was born at 8lbs

@kellyhowell21, did your doctor ever complain or jump all over you? I have bad self esteem problems and am horrified of him barking at me about it

who cares what the doctor says mine told me I couldn't gain over 10 pounds but I've gained 50 pounds an im 37 weeks.

I was technically at least 20 lbs over my bmi and they said I could still gain up to 35
