So I've been seeing people say breastfeeding is a form of birth control...😳 how accurate is this ? Lol I have been dreading getting back on bc after I have my son but I do plan to breastfeed🤔.. So does that mean I don't have to take the pill ? 😕😕
I got pregnant while breastfeeding with my first so I wouldn't rely on it too much.
It may lower the odds because it may put off your period, but don't rely on it. My mom got pregnant 3 months postpartum while breastfeeding my brother.
It worked for me for 10 months. Lol. My dr said I could only count on 3 months and after that it's risky.
I'm 7 months postpartum and still haven't had a period. Or gotten pregnant. lol. I haven't been using anything at all. Everyone is different though
It's supposed to be effective for 6 months if you exclusively breastfeed with gaps of no longer than 4 hours between feedings.
helped me for 9 months then I got pregnant I'd def say get on the pill or something like that
If done properly it can be! But once your cycle returns it's usually not! I got my cycle back at 4 months pp. I'm still breastfeeding my 1 year old and I'm 4 weeks pregnant
