Hello everyone. I'm new to this but I'm trying out. I'm 11weeks and couldn't be happier! I was wonder if anyone has any advice on being pregnant and not having your mom around. I lost my mom about 6yrs ago and have never really stopped grieving. Any ideas on how to help???

thank you everyone! so much I really appreciate it! I've definitely wanted to start a journal and I think I'm going to actually make myself do it next time when I'm about to break down! thank you again!

you could journal.. that would be a great way to cope.. also legacy building activites.. there are so many things you can do, like making a scapbook of your mom for your child, or a blanket of old clothes if possible, even a little memory box.. it will help you cope and give your baby something to have as well so your mother will never be forgotten :) im sure there is no way to take away what your feeling but talking about it is how we heal.

I lost my mom to cancer 4 years ago when I was 18 :'( you're not alone! I still miss her everyday and I'm 11 weeks pregnant and know she would be the BEST grandma my baby could have. It's really hard not having her around to go through this with me..

I haven't found a way to cope. I've never felt like I need her more in my life. she passed away 2 years ago and it still feels like yesterday. I just have so many questions and wanna tell her so much. If you need a listening ear you can message me anytime. good luck.

I'm sorry for your loss. I didn't physically have my mother around during my first pregnancy but I know it's not the same. I would suggest maybe start a journal of letters that you would normally speak to your mother about? So one day your child will have them....I photo documented my entire pregnancy to give her when she finally returned after my daughter was born...but in your case maybe share it with your child and explain why it means so much to you.

I lost my mom 2 years ago and it's not easy her anniversary is coming up in January and I feel likening isn't fair that she left when I was 17 years old I don't blame her but I still need her. it won't be easy at least it hasnt for me especially because I took care of her there will be so many questions and you're gonna want to ask her my advice is keep busy try not to think about it too much make mommy friends (at my age is kinda hard since almost everyone is older than me) but just bake cook read find something of your interest and let time fly I still talk and ask my mom questions of course there's no reply but I know she's listening

Short Luteal Phase?

I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
