how far do u need to be? 28 weeks? I'm relying on mine can I apply n fill the form in then get Dr to sign at 28 weeks ? last one was 8 years ago. congrats on little man! we find out gender next week x

I think it's 29 weeks, I did mine at 33 weeks tho and thank you, aw are you wanting a boy or girl? @havingnumber3 X

we were not going to find out but I got diagnosed with blood clots on my brain n spine 8 weeks ago I'm 15+1 now. our families will not know that we know. it's going to be so hard. I struggled emotionally thinking if I die during labour then I'd never know if I'd left a boy or girl behind. we didn't want to find out, but I guess we talked n found this our most reasonable compromise :-( I'm thrilled with any I've got an almost 11 year old princess n 7 year old prince so no preference BUT I think it's a girl xxx

how did you qualify for it? I want to apply but don't think I will get it?

just read that and even though I have severe disability I still won't get it as it's not my first baby! absolutely shocking if I'd saved my baby stuff from my daughter they'd all need replacing as 12 years old... I'm fuming. this government absolutely stinks. x

they changed it all you are only allowed the maternity grant with your first child

I don't qualify for it because of something to do with what taxes get brought into the house. Since my parents only get child benefit for me and my brother I can't get it :( x

If your mum claims benefits for you she can claim the grant on your behalf @katiesutheran2014 x

We tried discussing it with the midwife, neither me or my mum can claim it unfortunately x
