16 lbs is almost over weight?? My son is obese then cause he weighed 20lbs at his 6 month check up😂

I guess they go by height and she is 24 inches long and daughter is so petite doctors are so quick to say something is wrong with your child now a days rediculous! @johnnys_mom

Everything is stricked with babies anymore. Don't do this, don't do that, don't feed them this, or don't feed them that. It is ridiculous anymore. When I told my mom that his doctor said he can't have water between meals she about freaked!

my doctor said I can give her a little water if we are out side and in the heat that's all cause she will get full on water (I still give her drinks of it here and there) lol I think doctors can be a bit crazy sometimes @johnnys_mom

that's crazy...my daughter has always been on the chunky side...6 months was 18 pounds 9 months 20.11 pounds...she is following her curve. her Dr said he wasn't worried that once she starts moving and really wanting to explore her weight will slow down and she will even out...because shes more interested in playing. she is also 28 inches now.

that's what my doctor said that we won't change her diet YET but if by her 9 month appointment comes around and it looks like she's gaining to much then we will have to put her on a diet I told her she was crazy lol. oops but my daughter was only 5 pounds 15oz when she was born maybe that's y idk but all I know is I'm not putting my daughter on a diet this young @eskawho

I wouldn't either...my daughter was 6.13 at birth so I know what you are feeling. I'm not going to starve my baby. she only drinks 3 bottles a day (3oz in morning, 4 in afternoon, and 6 before bed) and eats solids...she mostly feeds herself so she stops when full. but as of now she is following her curve on weight gain so that's good. she is also now beginning to really explore the house so I think that helps. I wouldn't worry.

My 9 month baby weight 21 pounds and his doctor didn't say anything .

My nephew is 3 weeks older than my son and weights roughly 30 pounds and my son is roughly 20-21 pounds. Both are 9 months and neither one of their doctors have ever complained or even said anything about their weight. Seems really weird and messed up that a diet for a baby is suggested.

that's what I was thinking I'm thinking about changing her doctor because my daughter is breastfeed most of the time might have a bottle here and there only on a few occasions so I feed on demand and that's what she told me to do. she told me that she was on the little heavy side for her growth chart but I think she's crazy and she can shove it lol @kerragannicole

@mrs.cravens, I would consider switching doctors. Babies no matter how old they are will eat when they want and eat until they are full. My son has always even before he was on solids would eat at least 6 or more times a day. Now that he is on solids it's 3 meals and 2 snacks a day and bottles when he is ready for one.
