Yup completely, I nearly kissed the anaesthetist 😂. I still felt pressure when pushing but it didn't hurt and you can also top up if you need more.

You also don't feel them stitching you up or the after checks. I had to stay in overnight though as my leg was still numb a few hours later but it's different for everyone xx

Haha well it's one day of our lives for a lot of joy and happiness...but I'm still going to take all the help I can get lol. I was thinking water birth but when I found out I couldn't have the epi I opted for normal. Mind if I miss the window for the epidural I'll be getting in the water! @winterbaby95 xx

Hehe :) I'm not bothered about the pain at all. I just want a water birth, gas and air...or nothing at all :) I've opted for the birth centre too. My midwife said I wouldn't be allowed the epidural because of that. Just as well xD :) :) :) @rachbump177

@winterbaby95, yeah I heard that my mam and friend both had one & they said it was a total life saver, but they could still feel the push. I'm definitely going to take my chances as want it to be as pain free as possible. Thing is you can never plan for labour really lol x

@rachbump177, I've heard stories about epidurals not taking the pain away. Only with some people though. Usually you go numb etc and can't feel anything(from what I've read) This also means you can't feel the contractions...so the midwives have to monitor you and tell you when you get one etc. Also sometimes women have constant back pain long after birth because of the epidural :) I personally wouldn't get it done. It is totally up to you of course :) maybe do some research etc Xxx

I'm terrified I die😢 I know it's rare I nearly died with a mc so this scares me xx

I was like this and yes it hurts but it's not unbearable. I have a crap pain threshold and I managed 33 hours before I was admitted to hospital. I did then have an epidural but that's because I was so exhausted I wasn't progressing. (Laying down made it hurt more so I went from 3 am Saturday morning to sun lunchtime pacing and contracting so basically 2 nights of no sleep)

They had to break my waters and I had him at ten to seven Sunday evening.

So yeah it does hurt but if I can do it anyone can, I was thinking about baby no 2 after a month 🙈.

When your bubbas born though you really just forget about it, aftercare doesn't bother you because you're so in love with your little one.

It's 100 million percent worth every second, trust me! I'd go through it every day if i had too, you'll be fine xx

@mackenzie12345, really scared keep thinking I just want a section but I know people who've had both C section & natural & said C section is a hell of a lot worse

I've done it twice before and still petrified lol...it hurts and it's long but I would do it a million times over as when you hold your baby in your arms it seems like a very small price to pay for a lifetime of happiness xx

This is my 4th pregnancy and I have never ever been so scared . I can't sleep at night it's that bad. X
