Dr appointment today - still not dilated (37w5d) talking about scheduling and induction when I go back next Tuesday, we hope I've dilated a little to help with the induction. But I'm so scared 😫 she's not wanting to come on her own and I'm miserable. Thinking about waiting for her to come on her own but dr said we could wait but I could still be closed at 42 weeks with a big baby, and still have to get induced. Any advice?
Don't listen to the hype about all first babies taking forever or not coming until late. I had my son at 38 weeks and a few days it all happened on its own. I walked alot tried spicy foods and karo syrup. It worked. You can spontaneously go into labor at any time. And they don't always take forever. Both times my labor barely started at 10 pm I slept the whole night not feeling it. Woke around 6 with decent contractions and had my son at 11:12 am and my daughter 2 years later at 12:37 pm Both times I pushed less than an hour I don't think even anywhere near. So baby will come when ready and try walking and there are certain foods that can help start labor.
But I'm not dilated, at all! 😫 that's what I'm scared about. I don't want to have to use that cervidil thing, it scares me. If be fine if I was atleast 1 or 2 cm dilated but it's not working. I keep having contractions and she's head down and everything. And I feel like if I wait I'll end up waiting way past my due date and still have to get induced and either try to push out a big baby or have a c section @34466
Try googling different ways to start your labor. I was in active labor with my daughter but she wouldn't come out. Turns out because she had the cord around her neck several times. But they gave my pitocin to kick start it more and the pressure was so intense. I had a failed epidural with my son so ended up going all natural and that was soooo much better!! There are many ways to start your contractions on your own . Good luck!!
My doctor said he would induce my labor at 38 weeks, if my baby girl still had growth issues and if the percentile dropped to 10 or less. Last thursday, it was 10 percentile, and he said if she didn't come on her own by 38 weeks, he would induce labor at that time. I'm 36 weeks 1 day today, he said my cervix was super thin, and 1cm dilated. Is there a possibility this can change... that my doctor will let her just come on her own? I don't want to be induced, i would much rather her come on her ...
Thoughts on waiting another year to start daughter in preschool.
Our district doesn’t have a spot at the moment. So we have to find a preschool ourselves. We applied to Headstart but we make too much money so lower income families get first spots. But both districts have her at the top of their waiting list above others because she needs/receives speech therapy therefore they want the grant money that comes along with her being enrolled. It’s just so frustrating. I feel that worth Covid we kn...
41 weeks today. Monday I was STILL only a fingertip dilated 😒 however I'm getting induced in the morning.. Will the induction process be more painful than not being induced? Or is the pain about the same?
If Ava doesn't come on her own, they are going to make me wait 13 days over my due date before they even talk about induction.
Pisses me the hell off. 😡

Finally my turn!! I'm so nervous about this induction ?? waiting to get checked then comes the pitocin
Karo syrup?
