I need some tips guys. My daughter is two months old and she does not like to nap during the day. She sleeps through the night but only takes like 20 minute naps throughout the day. I dont do anything different at night than during the day so I dont understand why she wont sleep. Any tips on how to get her to sleep longer??
shes getting bigger so she'll want to stay awake longer, that's good she sleeps through the night, lots of interaction will tire them out lol so do some tummy time, 20 mins a day not all at once, try changing her clothes a few times, talk to her, swing her arms, stand her up on her legs and bounce her a little
WOULD YOU RATHER...
1. Have a baby that naps during the day and won’t sleep at night.
2. Have a baby that won’t get any naps during the day and sleep all night.
I’d go for #1 lol
my baby NEVER naps during the day. how do I start making her take naps. she co-sleeps with me at night.
reading online it says a 4 month old should be sleeping around 11 hrs a night. mine barley sleeps 7.... and wakes up frequently for feeds... why???!!! how come my baby doesn't need sleep?! he'll nap around 4 hrs during the day If I'm lucky. but I read they need between 4-6 hrs of nap during the day. so he needs 4 more hours at night!!!
Are 30 min naps during the day plus 5-6 hours of sleep at night okay for a 2.5 month old baby? With a total of 13-14 hours a day of sleep. I find this very little sleep, but i don’t know what else to do. :(
So my baby is 8 weeks old and is thriving with weight gain each doctors visit. So here is my question: around 4-5 hours at night for sleep she wakes up every night and sucks on her thumb. (She finally this week likes it to soothe her during nap times) her eyes are still closed and she moves around and sucks it. I wake her to feed her. My question is should I just let it go? And see if she is just soothing herself to sleep? I don't want her to stave by morning if she sleep a couple of more hours...
It's normal.. It's really just a faze.. My son did this when he was around 2 months, maybe just hold her while she sleeps, rather than putting her in her crib or in your bed?.. Or put her to nap with a clean diaper & bottle?..
