@nharri22, there's a pregnancy safe list of oils, it's not 100% up to date since it's made by plant therapy and plant therapy doesn't have certain oils like Plai, but it's a great guideline. I know it's absolutely no oils in the 1st trimester, pregnancy safe oils in the 2nd, and advised to not use any in the 3rd due to the fact they could have adverse effects. like how usually clary sage is used to help stop menstrual cramps, but is advised to be avoided until 38 weeks because while pregnant it can help induce labor.

I'm in a group called Essential Oil 101 (safe usage) and those ladies are soooo much help figuring out a the safety guidelines.

@crunchymomma, praise essential oils! they are the only think to help with my fast heart rate. I heard that oils are fine but not certain ones. but I don't know, I just use the stuff for my heart and I don't even remember what it's called

@nharri22, I've tried tylenol, it doesn't ever work. the only things that work are usually pain killers and I can't justify asking for pain killers for this.

but, although essential oils are advised against in the 3rd trimester I did put my favorite pain blend of oils on the area near my kidney (plai, black pepper, and copaiba) and the pain is definitely beginning to recede.

@crunchymomma, oh I hear ya on that. I'm 45 minutes from my hospital too with 2 kids. can you take anything to help the pain?

@nharri22, yeah the only reason I'm hesitant about going in to the ER is I'm babysitting so I've got 2 kids, the hospital is 45 minutes away, and also because I've always had kidney pains almost every day for the last 3 years since having my daughter. the pain has calmed down a lot since being pregnant this time surprisingly. but now it's back with a vengeance haha

@nharri22, I spent 3 months in the hospital with kidney infections with my 1st baby, it eventually progressed to a collapsed ureter so my kidney clogged up and poisoned me requiring surgery. now I have borderline kidney failure, I've been doing great this whole pregnancy until this morning. :(

I just recovered from a kidney infection with a fever and tons of vomiting. I hope you feel better :( kidneys suck sometimes
