Really stuck on something. Need some input from mothers with multiples.
My husband and I have a 1 year old son and we have been discussing trying for baby number 2. But we can't help but worry about all of the stresses that could come with 2 so young.
What are some things that made life harder or easier after having your second? and how far apart were they?

When the big kid throws a fit in the store and you have to carry them and the itty bitty in the car seat it really sucks. I just got home and dealt with that. My big kid is 4 so he has been potty trained, he can play alone, and if needed he can get snacks for himself out of the fridge.. I would say having the first one out of diapers and old enough to be capable of doing their own thing is best for having a second kid.

Although this isn't me personally, I have heard my mom talk about it for as long as I can remember. She LOVED having her kids 18 months apart. This way she didn't totally get out of the "baby stage" when she had me when my brother was 18m old. Basically she explains it as she didn't really have to retrain herself on what it's like to have a newborn because we were so close. She also loved getting potty training done and out of the way in about a year with the both of us. One downfall was that when she was 4 months pregnant with me, she was put on bed rest because she went into preterm labor, so she said it was very very difficult with a one year old. Hope that helps even the slightest bit :)
