My boyfriend's mother for some reason feels like my boyfriend has to play the role of a "husband" since her husband is in another country. His mother works, but is making my boyfriend pay for new living room furniture. We have a baby coming veryyyy soon. We still have to Move into a new apartment, baby's needs(car seat & stroller) etc. And saving to get my wedding ring. Idk what to do or say since it's his mother

So stressed out . Threw my husband a surprise dinner last Saturday we ended up getting into it . His sister jumped in the business. We haven’t been speaking since then early this morning we get into it again he says “ imma call my mother or sister” I can’t take this
ask him why he needs to pay for her stuff. his baby still needs things. a car seat is a must to take baby home for the hospital even if you somehow never need it again. he should not be paying for his mom's furniture if she's working.
