Just wondering what does everyone think of cot bumpers? I have one for the cot but read they can be unsafe so not sure whether to use it or not
I was told by health visitor not to use one until they are 1. I have such a lovely bumper too but I do everything in told by midwives/health visitors etc that I took it off as soon as she left despite the fact he's going to be in Moses basket in with me for however long first aha x
I read that they can increase the risk of SIDs due to ventilation...also there's been cases where children have been strangled with the strings etc....Even when they were tied properly etc. I don't think bubs really needs it...especially as a newborn as they don't roll etc(at first)...if you are worried about arms or legs getting trapped inbetween the bars etc....you can put bubs in a sleeping bag :) I have two xD It is a personal choice though. Just something I won't be using xD X
I've never used one...for safety reasons and you will find that you wont really need them to be honest x
opinions please ..
Kai has basically outgrown his moses basket so I was looking to get a crib until he's 6months and can go in his own room, some work colleagues have told my partner if he's outgrown the moses basket he might aswell be in his own room and to just get one of those sensors to put under his cot, I feel like he's too little to be in his own room though 🤔
what has everyone else done?

Does anyone here co-sleep? My daughter was born Monday at 4:14 am that night she slept fine in her cot in the hospital , but last night being home she would scream bloody murder the moment we set her down . Again tonight . She wants to be laying on my chest or she has a fit . I'm Terrified to co sleep but it might be my only option right now .
My little one managed to successfully climb out of her cot this morning. She’s in her own room so I didn’t see her do it or how she did it. When did your little ones make the move to a toddler bed? I’m worried she may still be too young? (21months) With a new baby coming in 7 weeks, am I silly to start the transition to her toddler bed?
SIDS - Cot death
Hello I don't want to upset anyone but I just wanted to ask a question. I know that cot death is a tragic thing that has no explaining but does anyone know how babies sleeping in your room reduces the risk?
Got it just now for decoration until baby big enough to go into cot then will take them off xx
