I started out breastfeeding & did it for the first 2 months, I always did it at home. If I knew I had to go somewhere i would pump a bottle of breastmilk & wear breastpads.. I totally support breastfeeding & think it's awesome but I believe it is a private thing & should be done at home or in a private area, not in public! Any other mommies with me?
I'll have to disagree with you on this. I suppose I get where you're coming from but it's not all that intimate. I'll feed my daughter with my boob wherever I am. I use a cover and am very classy about pulling my boob out and feeding her. #NormalizeBreastFeeding
I agree @shortiebs. And I definitely won't be feeding in a bathroom or with a cover. My first hated a cover and it drew more attention to us then me just lifting my shirt, pulling down my tank and letting him feed. You couldn't see anything. When you eat your lunch in a bathroom with a blanket over your head I'll feed my baby that way 😂 gross I would never hide in a bathroom and feed my baby.
Breasts are for nursing. If you need to feed the baby then thats whats what your breasts are for. We go to resturants to eat in public so whats the difference of a baby eating
I just have a problem with people's boobs just being all out in public, like go to the bathroom or use a cover.. No they a shouldn't be stuck at home because they breastfeed but it should be done discretely..
no I don't totally disagree nicely ,baby should be fed where ever when ever, what you should not be doing is flashing your entire boob out rather then do it discretely, a mother should have to be stuck at home because she breastfeeds you should never be ashamed embarrassed or disgusted to feed baby in public more see a mother feed her baby in public breast are for feeding baby I think if society didn't sexulize them it wouldn't be a problem it's breast all women have them ,I don't see a problem with it at all
This might cause argument. When we were still breastfeeding, I wasn't comfortable just whipping boob out to feed my baby. That's just me. I've always been self conscious so I was discrete about it . Other people just whip out and do it anyway but that's ok. It's a natural thing but shouldn't be sexualized at all.
I respectfully disagree. Feeding babe is nothing you should be ashamed of. I've learned that nursing in public really doesn't draw attention to yourself and is still between you and baby. It's obviously up to each mother what you're comfortable with, but fed babies are happy babies and if that means nursing in public (covered or uncovered) than go for it. :)
I feed my son in public but I wear a cover, sometimes, if I have enough time I'll pump a bottle or two before we go out to take with us :)
I agree with you doll. If you know you are going somewhere most mommies are prepared. Public wise. If you are at friends house or family house is different BUT in public is a bit different. I agree with you.
No. Not really. I think a baby should be fed wherever if they're hungry. I'm not about to bust out a tit somewhere in public JUST TO DO IT, but if my son is hungry I would feed him wherever. It would be discrete though.(I don't take my preemie out or else I would feed him in public). I wouldn't have signs all over saying "do not disturb, I'm feeding my baby"; I wouldn't want the attention on me for it. But it's 1000% that you, and other women wouldn't be comfortable/wouldn't want to breastfeed in public. It is a normal, natural thing though, and I think people need to understand it's not like women (well, not like most women) are doing it to get a reaction out of others, it's strictly to feed a baby.
I disagree (now) when I first started I felt so embarrassed and kind of like I was wrong to feed In public so I went in to the bathroom and I thought I wouldn't eat in a bathroom y should my child then I got a cover and he hated it one day I was out with my mom feeding my son sitting in a food court and an older woman said to me that she was glad to see some women still use their bodies for what they are designed to do come to find out my son had moved the cover and I was uncovered the whole time and no one had a problem with it. I still try to use the cover when kids are around but around grown men and women I don't feel like I need to cover we have all seen a boob in some way you know
