is it possible for the men to have post pardom depression? My daughter is almost 5 months old and my husband doesn't have much to do with her. When he holds her she screams. It's causing my husband and I to have problems what should I do to get him to have more to do with our daughter?
I am with @queendavis, one thing is if he feels left out or rejected by the baby, another thing is if he yells and curses at her. That's why she probably doesn't like him, because she doesn't feel saved and loved and probably feels threaten
Also you can't make him want to spend time with your daughter and be more involved. If he doesn't want to, then it will be unpleasant for everyone when he does. If he doesn't want to spend time with his own child then I really don't know what to tell you. Sounds like his priorities are fucked up.
Hmm that can be very stressful. I say you tell him he needs to talk to you or someone as to why he's acting like this or his daughter will want nothing to do with him like how she will be shy every time he says hi or hugs her. That's a hard situation I'm sorry
Men cannot have PPD. My husband wouldn't be holding our kids if he yelled and cussed at them, shit he might not even be in the picture if he acted like that, they are babies for Christ sake and that is completely unacceptable. Sounds like he's an asshole and needs a reality check.
I take her from him cause he starts yelling and cursing at her
He could just be nervous depending on how over bearing you are because I tend to be so I try not to
What do you do when she starts crying? I have learned to walk away and let my husband figure it out. He use to get mad at me because I kept telling him what to do with him so I try to let him handle our son until he asks for help. Maybe go away for an hour like grocery store run and have him with her and see how it goes. He can always call
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
I think it's possible, i don't think it would exactly be post partem but SOMETHING lol. Becoming a parent is stressful, maybe ask him what he's feeling? Find out if he may be scared of something. it is so very common for men to be scared about hurting baby on accident. Maybe he just doesn't know how to help out?
