depends on the doctor. my first I only had one and only had two with this one because they wanted to check to make sure the placenta wasn't covering my cervix.

I've only had two with each pregnancy. One at 8-12 weeks and one at 20 weeks.

you probably won't have anymore I still get them but that bc my son has kidney problems

I've had quite a few, but only bc I found out so early, so they did one at 4 weeks, and had to do another one at 6 weeks bc I wasn't far enough along the first time to tell anything to get a due date, bc I couldn't remember exactly when my last period started, and I've had 2 more since then, so all together 4 ultrasounds, but none with this doctor. thank you though!

@wrd2016, I haven't had one since 20 weeks but I'm not high risk or anything. I was told I would have my final ultrasound at 36 weeks to see how much baby weighs and if she is head down. I'm going bi weekly as well

I think the amount of ultra sounds you get depends on your pregnancy and your OB practice. I had a tough first trimester, we had three scans. Then we had our last which was our anatomy scan at 19 weeks. I'm currently about 32 weeks now and my doctor said we should get our last ultrasound at 36 weeks to see if baby has turned or not. Every place is different though!

oh those are called sonograms. I had two of those because if the same thing one at 6 weeks and then one at 11. then an ultrasound at 20 then at 32 because of the placenta possible problem.

@Kitkat1015, a sonogram is just the image created from an ultrasound. So they're the same thing essentially. They're not two different kinds of tests.

you usually get the last one at 36-37 weeks

I want to do the 3d/4d scan I get a discount at my doctors office but my mom doesn't think it's worth the money lol
