I get it too but honestly I think it's part of Christmas cheer for kids to think Santa brings them things, it gets them really excited and everyone needs something to believe in. Also not all the presents have to be from Santa some can be from yourself

I want my daughter to have an imagination. I'm not going to raise her to be a robot and not have a sense of wonder. I'll let her find out on her own, like I did, that Santa isn't real.

Same for me too. I think the only thing I'm going to do different with my kids is instead for the big ticket items being from Santa they're going to come from me and my hubby. People just get weirder and weirder every year about things like this

right? and they're gonna hear "oh look what Santa got me" from all their friends and wind up telling those friends he's not real and it'll be a whole mess. I'd rather not have my child be upset over something so petty

My kids will know about Santa, I will do it the way my mother did, Santa would always leave 1 unwrapped gift for each my brothers and I in front of the fireplace. Everything else was from mom and dad. I don't think kids should think every gift is from Santa lol. That's just how I'd do it 😝
