Dove and I are in isolation for a minimum of 48 hours as we wait to learn the diagnosis. It's looking like meningitis or group b strep, despite the treatment I received during labor. I'm told that even when moms are treated with antibiotics during labor for group b strep, babies can still contract it. We hadn't planned on spending her first Christmas in the hospital but we know we're in good hands.
