This happened to me a lot during my last pregnancy, the toilet was full of blood, it was from my rectum, I had terrible hemorrhoids with TJ. I am now pregnant with my little girl and Colace stool softener once a day has made a huge difference in my bowels. It doesn't take much for them to flair up once you start to get big because of the weight of the baby and the fact that your digestive system slows way down. They gave me a hemorrhoid cream to squeeze in my butt because they were on the inside, and told me to buy colace.

if you have a hemorrhoid it can bleed when you try and make a bowel movement I've had it happen to me before.

@arijane316, okay, so it can even be a really dark red? ive looked it up and lithe pictures and articles say that it could have a little blood in but this was all blood with a little discharge color in it... & how early can you lose your plug? I had a similar experience back at the end of October... so I would have been around 6 months. would that have been too early?

I'm a ftm too but I pay attention to what other mommies say and I had a prenatal class about the birthing process yesterday so it definitely sounds like your plug. it's nothing to freak out about. just means your body is preparing itself for baby to come

@havingtwinboys, @arijane316 okay im gonna call them in the morning, I really thought it wasn't from my vag but I guess if it's my plug it wouldn't be bloody when I wipe again??? & yeah I've heard you can lose your plug little by little, I just thought it was early for that still, like I said I'm a ftm and have no clue what too expect, and babygirl has been SOOOO ACTIVE the last couple hours!

your mucus plug can come out weeks before labor starts. but you can call your doctor in the morning and see what they say

its does not always mean you will go into labor asap. let your doctor know. and relax don't stress

it was probably actually your mucus plug. it can be a little bloody. it varies from woman to woman
