so tomorrow I have an appointment for a 3 hour glucose test and I'm really hoping they let me leave while waiting and come back and everything gos okay... has anyone else had one is it just redrinking the stuff?

I failed mine. :( I get to prick my finger four times a day as well, but I don't have to take any medication. As long as I keep my blood sugars in check, the doctors think everything will be fine. Its so hard though!!@babykellersmommy
Yeah when I got there before I drank the drink they had to check my blood sugar by pricking my finger and then did a blood draw then drank the drink. Because I failed that and was diagnosed with gd I now have to prick my finger to test my blood sugar 4 times a day and I have to take insulin pills. In 2 weeks I have to start going to the hospital every week and do a stress test. It sucks big time! I hope you pass, I got so sick!
My 3 hr was the same as @babykellersmommy , but if I would've thrown up, they would have made me restart the whole test. I couldn't leave, even though I live like five min away from there. I suggest bringing a book! I also had an initial blood draw as well as the 3 1hr blood draws.
wow they won't let me bring mine home... I wish they would have that would have been nicer... I'm not looking forward to this I hated being there for a hour.
I never had the 3 hour one . but , I heard during any glocose test. you can't leave.
My dr gave me the drink n i drank it at home n went in bt i only has the hr one done and passed...
They wouldn't let me leave when I had to. The drink for the 3 hour one is double the amount of sugar in the 1 hour. Then they draw your blood every hour after. I threw up after about 45 minutes so it's an automatic fail :/
