My doctor saw no point in checking while pregnant unless in labor, so you may have to ask.

thats just from him being head down my son put so much pressure on my pelvis I could barely walk I was checked at 38 weeks & was only a finger tip after that I was never checked until labor or I went to the hospital with what I thought were labor pains but still I went twice before & hardly dilated at all I was at a one almost both times till I actually went into labor so pressure doesn't always mean dilation

I thought so to everyone I asked where I'm from they said every week @nurseriri

@ayytarbell, I've been getting mines checked weekly starting at 36 weeks and also sono. Thought that's routine or maybe cause my OB knows me personally from work. But it would make sense to me to have it checked

so much pressure and like he is trying to Come put but idk maybe I'm just over thinking it @aek91

ya they did that last appointment just with me having dropped a while ago and measuring overdue just thought they would do more checks seeing how close I am @hannahk0624

when I say in labor I mean active labor at the hospital type thing some doctors just dont check because either wat you still could have a ways to go before you actually go into labor you could be dilated for weeks before you have the baby. what kind of pain are you having?

I have been too and asked specifically for them to do it. they said they usually do it when they do the group b strep test.

it depends on the doctor some doctors find it unnecessary until you're in labor.

you can always ask them to check. my ob says they generally check at 38 weeks unless we request it.
