Hey yall, this is my first pregnancy I'm 18 weeks and 4 days! At my sono on Friday my doctor said the baby has a whit spot in his heart which is an echogenic intracardiac focus. My doctor says not to worry it normally goes away with time. It's hard not to worry! :/
Have any of yall had this before? And did it go away?

It's impossible not to worry!! We had a low lying placenta on one of our babies right at 10 weeks when the placenta develops. They told us not to worry too. I worried the entire 2 weeks until my next ultrasound!! I've never heard of it, but that doesn't mean anything. I will say avoid Google!! Try to find articles and credible information to read up on it. That's what I had to do in order to find some peace of mind and to understand exactly what it meant. Please keep us posted and prayers for your little one and you!!

Right!? When my doctor said oh don't worry, Pshh that's impossible! And thank you so much! I'm glad yours ended up OK! I've semi looked it up just to understand more about it, and everyone has said at one point or another their baby grew out of it. So I'm pray mine does, and fast. Thank you and again I will def update!

My daughter had this in one of her ultrasounds. It's true, it usually does go away when the baby grows. if you're still worried about if after the baby is earthside, ask them to do a scan on the heart and see if it's still there.

It showed up in my second sonogram at 18 weeks.. Just this past Friday! So my doctor said I'll have sonograms more often until it goes away! But good to know.. He said it was very common and I had asked so many people and no one knew of it! Thank you!

Yeah. I missed like 3 months of school because I was so depressed about it and didn't want to do anything but lay in bed and cry. But thankfully it went away and she's a healthy almost 2 year old!
