I am wanting to mix formula & breast milk since I'm not making much milk. What formula do you ladies suggest?
he nursed for a couple weeks after his circumcision. I will try that though. Thank you! @mirandag
When did he stop latching? If it was after a circumcision it may be difficult to get him back to the breast. I would start by pace feeding his bottles, he only should eat 1-1.25oz per hour and you should pump every 2 hours during the day and every 3 at night ideally.
he's not wanting to latch at all anymore @mirandag & even when he does he unlatches within a couple seconds so I've been just pumping
He's 4 weeks. I will go buy the newborn one & the water today. They just sent it to me so I've kept it on hand just in case of an emergency. @supermama929
Yes with water. How old is your little one? Because the yellow packet is for 3 months+ and if your baby is younger than that, there is a newborn can/packet that you use. The only difference is there's more vitamin D I believe in the newborn one. But yes. For every two oz, one scoop of the powder. Example: 2 oz = 1 scoop, 4 oz = 2 scoops.
I have some regular enfamil that someone gave me. It's in yellow packets. Do you mix it with distilled water? @supermama929
Or the regular enfamil. We were on the gentlease but it actually gave my son gas so we switched to the regular enfamil. It's the closest to Breastmilk.
Just seen a chick on offer up selling 12 mo old baby clothes, bottles and (gasp) baby milk! 5 cans for 10 bucks each. They damn near 30 in the store !!!!! Now is a bad mom? Idnt think so 😝😝😎

Happy World Breastfeeding Week! Please share your breastfeeding stories and tips!
Hi everyone! @kimberlyyyy_the-preemie-mom here. For today's chat we're going to talk about breastfeeding and pumping in honor of World Breastfeeding Week! Both can seem complicated or stressful, but remember you have lots of support here! With my first son I had things going against us for breastfeeding.
I wish I knew back when he was younger that we could have still tried! With my second...
Breastfeeding.
I am a HUGE breastfeeding advocate. No, I will NOT shame you if you decide to formula feed, and will not tolerate anyone else doing so on my post. Everyone has their own reasons on why they feed their child the way they see fit.

Today’s topic: introducing solids.
I’ll do another about what is ok for feeding, but for now let’s focus on the *when*.
Solids are anything beyond breastmilk or formula. This includes: cereals, juices, purée, etc.
Not only is 6 months an important milestone, but there are also other factors that should ALL be met before introducing: sitting unsupported, loss of tongue thrust, pincher grasp are huge. These ensure your baby isn’t at risk for, amongst other things, choking. Baby being intereste...
Can we have a serious discussion? We can argue the topic all we want in the comments. I’m not afraid of a little heated discussion, haha! No reporting views that are different than yours. TOPIC: COWS MILK. 🐄 Do you feed it to your children? Do YOU drink it? For me, it’s devastating that so many support an Industry that is a known horror show. The mother cows are forced to reproduce, their babies are taken away with in the first hours of their lives, and the boy cows are either sold for mea...
You're welcome. And since he still nursed after the surgery then you might have an easier time getting him back to the breast. try cutting out bottles completely and just nursing him. If he fusses then switch breasts and offer 1oz of expressed milk pace fed then go back to he breast. As long as he has 6 wet diapers in 24 hours he's getting enough.
