I have a question.. my daughter was born by c section due to complications.. has anyone who has had a baby by c section ever had problems with people telling you you are less of a mother and took the easy way out? if so how did you deal with it? I know I did what I had to for the sake of my daughter but I still get sad knowing I wasnt able to give birth naturally and I struggle with it without people telling me I'm less of a mother...

I've had people brag about how quick their labor was and how easy it was and how they did it naturally, mine was long. I started having contractions ever 5 mins the night before I went in to get induced (i was a week over my due date was having preeclampsia). went to the hospital at 630 am and was in labor for 27 hours at the hospital but still had to get a c section. the pitocen caused my baby's heart rate to spike to almost 200, so they stopped that at around midnight. my water broke on its own around 415 p.m. on the 9th, they have me 18 hours to have her due to risk of infection and dry birth. after stopping the pitocen they tried me side to side but her heart rate would go down to about 70 or 80. so they stopped that. at 730 the next morning my Dr came in and explained that I was only dialated to a 5 and that was being generous and he said he could do the pitocen for another hour but didn't think it would work and with her heart rate going crazy he didn't really wanna do it but have us the choice or we could just do the c section. we chose the c section bc I was scared of her heart rate dropping or spiking again. after he left my epidural pump messed up and I was able to feel all of the contractions again and with each one her heart rate would spike to almost 200 again. they rushed me into the c section. I've had people tell me I took the eaasy way out and was just pathetic.. it makes me feel horrible that I didn't try harder for a natural birth but I was afraid for her. I can't imagine losing my little one..

Honestly I've never met anyone who felt that a women who had a c section didn't have a birth or is less of a mother. I am not sure where this c section shaming is coming from. If you are getting shit from others I'm sorry to hear that. Especially since it was an emergency! I also needed one.

Fuck them! You did what you had to do to save your daughter. You are not less of a mother! You carried your baby for 9 months, you made sure to eat right and stay away from what wasn't healthy for your baby, you chose the best for your baby. Don't let the ignorant make you feel inferior with their opinions. You are a great mother!

All the time ... But I look at my miracle every day & know that everything they say is bullshit . Everytime I see that scar I'm reminded of a beautiful creation that nearly lost her life but is here today because of the surgery . Fuck what others say .

I'd just say fuck you and know that you're just as good and as much of a mother because you put your baby's health/life first.

Ladies that had virginal births did any of you had to get stitches if so how did the healing process go ? What about c section mommies that I had multiple how was healing process? With my first daughter had emergency c section and it took up to 8 months to fully heal outside because I had infections and gestational diabetes that it took longer to heal. I’m getting induced but I want to know both healing processes can never be to ready lol thank you ladies in advance 💖💖
