I got my membranes striped today.. All I can say is OW! It was HORRIBLY painful getting it done and I've been having horrible contractions since 3-4pm. Trying to get labor going seemed like a good idea at the time, but that was the most painful thing that has ever happened so far.

@ashton_miller, Yeah, a finger. It was seriously terrible. I couldn't sit still, I was almost in tears. I was so excited, and now I honestly regret it. These contractions are horrible and that pain from the striping was seriously unforgettable. I couldn't even hold my fiancé's hand, I had to put both my hands under my butt so they could reach my cervix. The doctor said some people say it doesn't hurt at all, so who knows. It could be different for you. But it was absolutely horrific for me. He had to do one side at a time, I was moving around THAT much from the pain. Sorry I'm writing so much but it was just, a lot more painful than I would've ever thought. Which was kind of stupid of me. The second a finger goes inside of me it feels like razor blades, so this was that times 19282717719. Maybe I'm just more sensitive down there? All I know is, it was extremely painful and still is extremely painful
oh god. I am 36 weeks tomorrow and just started having my cervix checked a couple days ago and I have a male OB with HUGE hands and I can't stand when he checks my cervix. hurts so bad so I can't imagine him doing that 😂 lol @hellokarly
what does it feel like? I was thinking of doing it when I got further along? now I don't know lol
