Using the "cry it out" approach with my 3week old in order to get him to sleep in his own bed. He cried for 30 mins before falling asleep! Spoiled baby!

@charlotttesmama6515, thank you for your opinion. We also have a carrier that I use pretty often! I don't ever let him CIO during any other time other then bed time.

You could baby wear around the house if you can't hold him 24/7. I also used a swaddle with the Velcro so even if I wasn't holding her she would feel safe and secure.

lol @camdensmama as long as he's not sleeping in our bed when he starts kicking in his sleep that's what I'm scared of

He isn't spoiled. He is used to living inside of a very warm mama belly where there was no hunger or cold, no diapers that were too wet or too dry. Especially being so little. He needs his mommy. I really think CIO method is wrong and its been scientifically proven to have negative consequences.

@k.jsmom, really!? My son does good sleeping where ever during the day. Bed. Pack n play. Swing. Being held. But at night he only wants our bed. And to bed cuddled at the same time. And I really just need to nip it in the butt. Now before it gets worse!

@their.bomb.ass.mom, that's good. I don't see anything wrong with it at all. I was just nervous that him only being 3 weeks was a bit early to start. But something has to give eventually. I can't hold him 24-7. Lol

@brittanymetzger2015, I was worried that 3 weeks was a little too early. :/

@mommyandbriston, oh. No I didn't think you were putting me down! And I thought I was going to be like that too since he's my first. But I'm not. Oddly enough my SO is the one who gets bent outta shape about me letting him cry!!!

We still use the cry it out method and my daughter is almost a year old. Her cries semi bothered me when she was little, but like you said, if I know for a fact nothing is wrong, then I'm okay with it to an extent. I use to think letting a child cry it out was awful, then I had my own, and we got really friendly with it. To each their own though, someone will completely disagree with you I'm sure and tell you about all the studies they've read into. But I see zero problem! 😊

It's really good to let them cry for a bit. It makes them tired. We do it with our 5 month old sometimes. I see no problem with it lol. But some moms might think it's not right to let them cry. Everyone is different.

I guess it's just new mommy syndrome for me, I feel bad whenever mine cries no matter what 😂. I wasn't putting you down or anything, I was just saying I'm dreading the possibility of having to cry it out even though it's necessary sometimes.

@mommyandbriston, really!? His crying doesn't bother me at all unless I know something is wrong. In this case he just had a bath. Temperature checked(im that crazy mom who checks every day!) Ate. Burped. And had a clean diaper. So he was crying A: because he's not in my bed and B: because he's fighting his sleep really bad today! But I feel bad if I know something's wrong like he's gassy or constipated.
