Are the red and inflamed? Could be a yeast infection

I tried many different nipple creams and the Medela nipple cream is the only one that worked for me! I put it on every time I got done feeding her and by the next feed they would feel a lot better

U could also rub olive oil on your nipples, thats what my breastfeeding consultant advised me

@mrs.cravens, do you know if the nipple shield could be causing it? Liam was 5 weeks early and couldn't couldn't start off on breast I had to pump. He is now 3 weeks old and has been on the breast for almost 2 weeks. The only way I could get him to latch was with the shield. I still try without it every feed. Sometimes he will latch sometimes he wont. When he doesn't I use the shield.
