Well they consider babys full term after 37 weeks and able to live out side the womb on their own fine at that point

@mom13, yeah but what's with all these charts being inaccurate

its not an exact science lol and everyone has their own views i go by weeks and as long as my baby is healthy and doing well i dont care what month i supposedly am and as long as babys healthy when he/she is born that matters to me, i have a 5 yr old girl and am now i am having a boy and am excited hes healthy i had scares at the start of my pregnancy and did as doctor ordered me

36 weeks is considered full term.. so it's understandable! but every dr can see it different

@mom13, trust me I hear you... I've had a million and one issues this pregnancy and I want my baby to stay in the full 40 but I was confused because of my appointments. My high risk doc is an hour and a half away and I don't do well in the car and I thought two week appointments didn't start until third trimester so I figured around 27-28 weeks they would start because I'm already going to the doctor multiple times a month... I told my hubby he could work overtime until then and now I have to change up on him and his boss because the driving kills me

@theosmommy, well I would hope the doctors are almost on the same note just not the people publishing these charts that everyone keeps arguing about lol

40 ÷ 3 = 13.333333 so every 13 weeks you change trimester. 1st is from 0 to 13 weeks, second from 13.3 to 26.6 and third from 27 to the end :)
