uhhh no. you need the full 6 wks at least especially if your a ftm. 6 wks was just enough for me

If you qualify for FMLA then you generally get 12 weeks unpaid. I took 10 weeks of leave. It you don't qualify for FMLA sometimes states have parental leave laws or the company might have their own policies.

Definitely 6 weeks is what you need, 2 weeks you haven't even recovered and you get no time with your baby. My boss let me stay off for how ever long I needed. It's almost been 3 months for me, and I've had so much time with my son that I'm glad I had

I don't get leave... but my general manager knows how it is to have kids and he's a male. he told me to let him know when I can come back. now I'm assuming it depends on how your delivery can go or how soon your able to go back to work. for me I'm playing it by ear because I don't have a lot of people close by to babysit. and I worked too much now I'm on bed rest and its taking a lot out of me.

I took 7 weeks off ( unfortunately unpaid ) I wish I could've taken off longer but it's okay because I only went back part time so it's not too bad. I know through FMLA you may qualify for 12 weeks of leave but it's unpaid @peanut_baby
