I'm so damn frustrated! Has anyone decided not to get an epidural and EVERYONE keeps saying "oh you won't be able to handle it" or "you'll be begging for one when its to late"? I love the beauty in natural childbirth. I don't have anything against anyone who chooses to get the epidural but I choose not to and would like if someone would just respect what I want. If I'm going to have the baby I would love it when I say I'm going to do something, like breastfeed or go through a natural birth, someone doesn't sit there and lecture me about how "I don't know what I want" or "I've raise ___ amount of kids and know you won't be able to do this"
@oberynsmommie, ive been doing some serious mental preparation, lol I dont plan on backing down. Especially bc everyone telling me I can't just motivates me more! Thank you!
I'm in the exact sane boat as you! I am completely 100% against the epidural, & nothing ticks me off more than when people say "oh i said the same thing & i got the epidural" like okay? just bc you couldn't do it doesn't mean I won't be able to. Its so frustrating!! But I believe in you girly!!! Keep your eye on the prize! :)
The pain wasn't my issue at all lol and I absolutely hated the epidural, I pushed for 2 hours because I couldn't feel anything. It was so frustrating:/
Just keep an open mind, you might change your mind. I did. And if it bothers you that much, don't tell people your wishes. Just say you don't know.
I agree I've heard some horror stories about epidural a and I hate needles I cry when they draw blood. @oberynsmommie
@cpoe17, @kmunoz yeah I know the pain could possibly be outrageous , the main reasons why I refuse to get one is one I'm mortified of needles so if I don't have to get one I'm not going to and two I don't like being numb. I'd rather be in pain and in control than numb and not
It's your birth don't let anyone tell you what you can and can't do! Some women tolerate the pain better than others and just because some women can't do it doesn't mean all women can't. Women deliver babies everyday without hospitals or pain meds. Just stay mentally strong
My mom is toShe told me it only really hurts bad when it's time to push but before you even register pain the baby is out @oberynsmommie
I was determined to go all natural and at 9cm I asked for the epidural😞 I was getting cold sweats and felt like puking and I absolutely hate that feeling...the pain was bearable and I'm sure you'll do great ☺ they were surprised I asked for an epidural cause I was laughing the entire time.
@cpoe17, my future mil says that all the time and so do all of my friends. The only one that is behind me on everything is my mother because she had all natural births and breastfed
@kmally, @mrs.meow they this that since I'll only be 19 when I have him that I'm to young to know and since it's my first birth then I have no idea what I'm in for but its not like I don't do research and see how others births were for them ranging long births to short births . I know everyone is different but at least I have some kind of idea what I'm going to have to go through. And @polkadotcutie that'd be great!
I don't want an epidural either! My nurse who comes to see me tried to get me to change my mind saying it will be unbearable 😒😒😒
Do you have Instagram? There's a page I follow that motivates and prepares women for natural child birth. Let me know if you want it.
It was the same for me! Keep your head up and remember it's your birth, not theirs!
I want a natural birth as well, I would hate to have my child drug up
