I'm pretty sure this whole issue comea from cats sleeping on baby's face and they suffocate. If they don't have access to where your LO is sleeping then I can't imagine what the issue would be! It seems extreme to get rid of your pet! :)

everyone told me the same thing and I keep my cat and nothing happened. I just made sure the car knew about the baby and watch him.

if it was me, I just would make sure the cat wasn't near the baby for a while, I heard a,story of a cat lying on a babies chest and suffocating her I'd just be overly cautious😞😞😞😞 you shouldn't have to get rid of your pet.

My husband's friend yesterday said something about reason why you shouldn't have a cat is because of there fur? @lillysmommy

The big thing with cats and newborns is them sucking the milk off their tongues. I'm not sure if it's true. But just make sure the cat isn't around the babies milk or the same room when they are sleeping.
