contractions came back and are stronger than they have ever been before and they hurt, they're pretty constant only going away for like a minute to a minute and a half before coming back. 😩 kinda wanna cry.
Yea request ur doctor thr next time u go in and tell them u don't want anyone else and the on call to stay away ud it's the same guy
I honestly didn't know that I could request my doctor until my mom told me like 20 seconds ago because I really really did not want this guy delivering my baby. he even said that if I were 36+5 he'd stop my contractions and probably would until 39 just because that's not full term... yet my doctor said 37 weeks. @mw1620
if you go in there and they start that say u want ur doctor and you don't want to see the on call Dr and refuse the shot don't let them talk u into getting them again just look at them and say hush up and get me my doctor and don't listen to the nurses about how your baby will turn out if ur Dr said ur baby is healthy and ready to come out then go for ir
I refused them and asked for an alternative because I'd gladly do an alternative but they said that even though there were alternatives like an iv drip or taking a pill and drinking lots of water I didn't have that option it was either the shot or I couldn't leave. I honestly don't think they would've called my doctor which I wish they would have because i prefer him so much more than the other ob doctor who was on call. and just because he was "on call" it was what he said went and they kept making me feel awful for refusing the shot until I just gave in and got it. I've had about 10 of these shots in less than 2 weeks. @missyowl92
@mercy475, Thats a load of shit! Why can't your ob come in and deliver? Isn't that his job too? And if a doctor gets mad because he has to do his job then he shouldnt of even gotten into the field. You should have just kept refusing the shots and maybe they would have just given in. All those shots to stop labor can't be good for baby..m
it just depends on the on call doctor, my ob doctor told me if he was the on call doctor he wouldn't stop them bevause my baby was measuring perfectly healthy and big and his lungs are developed but the other doctor threw a fit because they woke him up to come deliver a baby... which is his job... and he doesn't really like to work a whole lot just flirt with the nurses. I tried to refuse a second round of shots hoping they'd give me an alternative or something but they didn't they forced me to get the shots and said I couldn't leave unless I did, and they had the nurses tell me my baby would die if they didn't stop my contractions and if he didn't die he'd be in the nicu fighting for his life and all this other stuff. @missyowl92
Why do they keep stopping them? Obviously baby is ready to come into the world but I know being 35 weeks is kind of early...
they've stopped them for about 2 ish weeks now with brethine shots but theyve kinda stopped working because my contractions came back in less than 12 hours and those shots make me really really sick @carolinamom91
Ahhhh yes I know that feeling all too well. With my first in 09 they kept stopping mine with morphine and I was 37 weeks so I thought that was bananas! 😡. I ended up getting really sick from the morphine for I kid you not 2 weeks! Which really was inconvenient since I was in high school during.
my hospital will stop it again they had to stop my contractions last night and I don't think I'm dilating any more. @carolinamom91
Maybe just call your office and alert them and see what they say before having him leave. If it's been an hour then their definitely real love. Gosh that's exciting! I had my son at 35 weeks 💕
it has been an hour, but I'm going to try and wait it out for another couple of hours before I have my boyfriend leave work again @carolinamom91
Oh my! Drink water and time them for an hour :). Hope you feel better !
That was a wonderful 3 minutes ! Back to my show 🍆😏😂
This may be stupid but....how long do contractions last for? I keep having period cramps and lower back pain but it lasts like 3 minutes each time.
How far along were you..
when you found out you were pregnant? We found out literally the first possible minute, six days before my period was due. Felt every freakin minute of it. Only 55 more days..and counting!
low back pain
Did anyone experience low back pain before their bfp? And/or cramping on one side of their abdomen?

Before and after
@mercy475, definitely request your doctor next time. Don't take their crap anymore.
