@34466, exactly! I even tell her parents they can't let her do that. her mom thinks it's just a stage and it's funny but she doesn't realize that if they don't correct her now she will not stop. she didn't leave my side before. if I could take her again and have her full time again I would!

Unfortunately they are only making it worse in the long run. On top of having three kids of our own and being pregnant with twins. We have our nephew and I'm a preschool teacher. Saying a child gets on your nerves and whatnot is not the end of the world. It's hard to see a child you love so much behave in such ways when you know them so well and are so involved in their life. It drives me bonkers the way my nephew acts when he gets around his parents or grandparents he's almost a different child. And they all encourage his whiney or bad behavior and give him whatever he wants whereas we don't. He's not mine biologically but I feel like he is and its hard to see him behave in such ways.

@34466, I'm having a boy but these hormones are absolutely nuts! I feel so terrible because she is my best friend but the way she talks to adults just upsets me so bad! I do correct her but her parents laugh at her behavior!

I have custody of my nephew he's 2. I feel so bad because everything he does gets on my nerves right now. My own kids do to but they are older so its not as bad. Hormones are a crazy thing? Any chance you are having a girl? My hormones were horrible with my daughter.

I'm not sure but saying you can't stand her, is a bit harsh for a child.
