
Also, according to the LLLI, it is better to wait at least 4-6 weeks before pumping. Baby is regulating your supply to fit their demands, and when you pump, your body creates too much. Too much isn't always a good thing, cause that's over supply, and over supply may be accompanied by complications such as but not limited to mastitis. (But everyone has their one way of doing things. Don't worry, no judgments here 💜)

I've never heard that about pumping before. I'll have to keep it in mind for my next appointment. have to start getting the details of my birth plan sorted out.
