embarrassed to even post this picture but idc this is what my kids think is acceptable to throw clean and or dirty clothes all over their room even wrappers or popsicle sticks mostly clothes gave them more then enough days to clean this up my oldest just hung up maybe 7 or so shirts then sits there and pouts about having to clean it my 4 year old gets distracted and doesn't really know what he's doing so I have him put toys in the box,wel say go pick up this out of the living room and put in your room and they go to the door and throw it in the room doesn't matter what it is well it didn't get done so I'm cleaning it as of now (taking a breastfeeding break) I'm more then halfway done but guess what this mama is throwing out a bunch of toys and giving some clothes away I'm not dealing with it anymore and I don't feel bad about it either ,pretty soon they will have about 6 pairs of pants each and 10 shirts each that way there won't be so much of a mess/laundry I'm so over it for now on if you don't clean you can sit on the couch in silence no tv no games just silence and maybe a book ,it's just ridiculous and gross they know better they just don't like to clean I'm setting new rules and they will only have a certain amount of toys as well they don't need 3-4 toy boxes full ,going to have to tell my dad to stop picking up new toys at garage sales and storws if he still does(he's older so doesn't remember me telling him not to get anymore) every time they get one one or more of the garage sale ones goes to donation...can't wait to move have more storage and start fresh in a new home with tough rules. this mama has had enough of this nonsense a box of toys/clothes waiting to go to trash/donation... unacceptable enough is enough just looking at it gave me instatnt anxiety feel like screaming!

my mom used to make me sit in the room till I was done. she would just close the door and check every hour. and throw out stuff. I tell my 4yr old whatever I sweep up from this floor is going in the garbage so you better hurry up and get it and he does. sometimes I have to throw away a toy or two for him to get it.

my momma would have whooped my brother and i's ass had i rooms got this bad, and then we'd clean it. & we'd better not exit the room unless we needed to use the restroom. we could call her for water & she'd tell us when dinner was done. if our rooms weren't clean by a certain time, everything that was left was trash. i commend you putting your foot down, momma. & giving their things away will make them more appreciative. u should actually make THEM pack it up to give away so they understand it isn't your job, and now they're losing the things they love bc they don't take care of them. it'll be an eye opener. besides, why strain yourself getting all that up lmao. nope. get you a nice seat & hand em a few bags and tell em pack it up.

@keli try the whole sit in your room and clean I close the door come back 30 mins to a hours later and hes still pouting while moving slowly or they start wrestling and fighting then i hive uo as for the sweeping thing that works with my youngest sometimes my oldest,this weekend I'm not playing I put all Clean clothes in a pile they need to hang up and out away and they will sit there till its done I guess ,they like to make excuses to come out like they are thirsty or have to pee so they will each get a glass of water and pee before they start

looks like my kids room, I have to keep on them about keeping it clean all the time. I got rid of a lot of toys and clothes as well. My 5 and 4 yr old act clueless when it comes to cleaning up thinking my 9yr old gonna do all the work. But I let them know it's not gonna work that way, everybody helps clean up even my one year old.

@mango44, haha that is a good idea I think I will do that have them pack there own stuff up to give away it sure will make them appreciate there things more,sometimes I do want to whoop them after I tell them time after time to clean but that just doesn't work for them

@fabmomof5, yes my children at clueless when it comes down to cleaning hence why their room looks like this ,this is my last time cleaning it but sense I'm the one doing it alot of toys and clothes are being Givin away when my youngest turns one he will be helping to start then young

lmao oh they're like me when i reached a certain age bc whoopings stopped working. i made my moms get creative. she'd randomly open my door and be like nope, and bring me a bag back i'm like c'mon MA! i'm playing! i only got 5 toys, wtf 😂😂😂 girl yes, grab you a book and a glass of something cold to drink and have em pack it up lol bet you won't have any more issues 👌🏽
