When is it safe to give a baby, baby food? My son went to visit my sister for the weekend and she gave him thick cereal bottles, Now that hes home thats all he wants. He has reflux and its helping him, but if I give him a regular formula bottle now he pukes it all up. I keep getting told he is ready for it but I'm afraid something bad will happen. He's going to be 3 months on Sunday.

Unless advised by a medical practitioner a baby shouldn't start any kind of solids till after 6 months

I started my daughter on rice cereal at 3.5 months so babies are on it way younger then 3 too.. I've also heard that it can help with reflux he might feel better when he eats the cereal
My sister put him on very thick cereal bottles, I don't mind because he doesn't choke, he isn't constipated, and it doesn't seem to bother his belly. But now he won't take a straight formula bottle, which durning the day I'd rather him just have formula so he isnt sleeping all day long. But i wanted to try baby food because he seems to be ready. But I'm not sure what to do.
