Anyone else's doctor not check them for dilation their whole pregnancy? 😯😣

it depends on the doctor some doctors find it unnecessary to do it until you're in labor

@aek91, yeah I think that's how my doctor sees it but I just don't see a point in going to weekly checkups then

they only checked me in the beginning. they said they don't want to do it until after 36-37 weeks because it could mess with going into labor.

just to make sure you're gaining the proper weight & to make sure bby is still growing right.. my doctor only checked me cause I asked her to honestly I should've just waited lol I was only a finger tip dilated she couldn't even sweep my membranes I was already 38 weeks

My midwife doesn't check, its really unnecessary

The doctors in a town I was going to move to told me that they don't check dilation because of MRSA. I think that if doctors don't have to check, they won't just to always be on the safe side.

38 weeks and I was checked for the first time today

It is necessary, there are pregnant women who dilating and dont even feel pain or anything. But usually they have to check at least 4 weeks before your EDD
