how do you know if it's active labor or inactive labor? ive had dull and sarp pain in my lower back , pain in uterus and it come it and goes . I'm 37 weeks pregnancy and this is my first pregnancy. friends of mine have said that their water didn't break and they didnt lose theit mucus plug. should I be worried and when should I call the doctor

I've read that you should go to the hospital once your contractions are five minutes apart, last one minute, and go for an hour at that rate. Called the 5-1-1 rule.

Keep Timing Them I Had Mine 8 Minutes Apart Then The Next Day They Were 6 Minutes Apart At Night I Went To The Hospital And Stayed And Had My Baby Girl In The Morning @jazzylady

active labor is somthing youll know is happening. i was in inactive labor for a couple weeks before real labor and it sucked! contractions that felt like dull yet painful backaches being so very tired and the pain in the crotch, there will be times the contractions feel like real labor but you end up sent home with no progression
