my babys father texted me out of the blue asking for us to get back together. Hes been MIA for the whole 9 months of my pregnancy and hasn't supported me in anything. We broke up before I even knew I was pregnant bc he quit his job so I can maintain him. I paid the rent, water, light, and my car bill plus food! all he did was sit at home and play xbox. I dont want that life. and I dont feel any attraction towards him anymore. I dont feel that having him around would benifit my daughter....I need opinions

You're better off without him. You're not even attracted to him any more and if you take him back most likely you'll be supporting him again. I think you'll be better off just you and your baby

Wow sounds exactly like my situation ! I broke up with my babies father before I found out I was pregnant & he was always cheating & lying to me while living together . He told me not to look for him when I moved back home with my mother & I haven't spoken to him since but i have a feeling one day he's going to come crawling back . I think that it's best for us as strong mothers to know our worth & remember that when they were with us they had it good , we loved & cared for them & still they didn't care for us ..so why should we feel bad & give them another chance when most likely they will hurt us ..now with a kid ? That's going to affect our children too .. I say you kick his ass to the curb & tell him to let you be happy with your daughter because when you needed his support the most he wasn't there . Until he really proves to you that he will do ANYTHING to change then maybe you can work things out , but just cause he comes back crying you don't have to give in so easily .

You should do what is write for you but if opinion you need I don't think you have to be with him at this point but he could still be in your daughters life. He doesn't need to be your man to be that little girls daddy. Good luck with everything

From what it sounds like is he would be somebody that would just drag you down. Not only emotionally but financially as well, if he's going to sit there all day and play Xbox when you have 100 other things to do what's the point ya know? Good luck girl!
