Anyone else have those weeks where you just need a giant punching bag and 3-6 hours uninterrupted? I've gotten about 4-5 hours sleep a night, my son who's not even 2, does nothing but scream, hit, and head butt me all day long, and it's been going on for 5 weeks now. I got a huge knock on my head from him throwing a metal water bottle at my head, he threw and shattered my vapor (the only way I've been able to smoke less than a pack a day), I have bruises all over my arms and legs from him. I'm at my wits end!! I keep asking my mil to watch him for a day or two to get a break and reset, she lives 300ft away, but she "can't" for a number of stupid reasons. My husband usually gives me a break on the weekends, but he's working a bunch of overtime for extra money right before Christmas. I'm going to go absolutely nuts without a break...

im sorry but that would be a spanking in my house hold. i dont want to tell you how to discipline your child but a tap on his behind is well over due. my son knows better than to ever throw anything at me let alone raise his voice. i hope things work out for you.

So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?

Trigger. Lost baby
Went in for my 20 week check up and found out our son had passed away. Nothing was wrong, my pregnancy has been going great. I'm so numb right now. I'll he delivering him later this week. I don't want to do this. I don't want to do this. Not before Christmas. How am I'm going to tell my kids?? My dear sweet baby boy. Why did this happen?
oh i am all for spanking, if he knows what he's doing is wrong he gets spanked. Its not working tho, he either hits me again or laughs in my face. He hit the terrible twos a day after he turned one so I'm praying this is the 3yo attitude or I will be completely psychotic when it does happen. We tried time out until a friend with a degree in child psychology said before 3-4 they won't understand the concept, he gets his hand smacked when he grabs things that aren't his to play with (like my vapor, Daddy's wallet, our phones), and gets spanked after counting to 3 for most everything else unless it's something like hitting or throwing things at us. I'm at my wits end, no parenting strategy is working, my mil means we'll with her advice but it's all crap (distract him when it happens, well wwhen he hits me I'm punishing him not distacting him). I don't know what else to do anynore!!
