My poor baby has a rash on her butt and she's been pooping at least every 2 hours and I can't even keep Desitin on long enough before we have to change her. Anything work better for you mommies? I've tried Desitin and baby Vaseline.

if you look on pinterest you can make your own ointment with aquaphor and maalox.. my dr. told me about it when my son was a baby... the aquaphor coats the skin and the maalox helps with the acidity from the bowel movement... I used it a couple weeks ago on my one year old (he was bleeding) and his little sores were gone by morning :)

Yes @savannahhope. I don't like the creamy kind. I like the one that is clear like vaseline

@savannahhope, I agree with @foreveryoung247. I am a fan of A & D. I work in childcare and Aquaphor does great too.

I used a tea tree ointment from Desert Essence on my son...but he was 9 months. It's pretty mild but still may be strong for a little new baby. I plan on keeping it on hand for my baby girl when she arrived

Especially since tomorrow's Friday. If it gets worse baby girl will be miserable all weekend. Hope it clears up soon!

I don't take diaper rashes lightly. my second baby got staff infection from powder on her rash.

no. I would go in asap. idk what it looks like but I've had kids that r sensitive to the point they start bleeding and skin peeling. if she's comfortable and not in pain that's good but still make an appt asap. u don't want and infection :(

@bubblebeck, @staciemorton should I give the cream a few more days to see if it works? The rash only surfaced this morning and I've only been using pampers (huggies irritates her) and warm water and paper towels to clean her.

I agree with @staciemorton, my daughter used to get yeast infections on her but all the time. Diaper creams did not help. I had to take her to doc and get a steroid cream.
