Just took my first iron supplement. Not looking forward to potential side effects...I really hate medicines and taking any kinds of pills. 😬 Anyways, my prescription is 325 mg, delayed release and I take it in the morning and at night with OJ. Anyone else on the same strength 2x a day, and if so, do you have any side effects?

It makes me feel so nauseous. Even if I eat before. I can't stand them. My anemia and Von Willebrand is to bad though that I have too. 😪

I took them with two previous pregnancies, and I know how sick they made me feel. Thats why I am dreading whats to come. Ugh. My anemia isn't too bad, I don't think, but apparently its bad enough where I have to take this stuff twice a day. The iron in my prenatals alone was enough to make me super sick at the beginning of my pregnancy. Now that thats passed, I get to deal with these pills. Oh, what fun. 😒

And I guess my level is a 10.2, and they want to see my numbers in the 12's

@foreveryoung247, Yep, thats what I'm afraid I am gonna feel like. I really am not digging this one bit. I just feel kinda weird, but not sick....not yet, anyway.

Yea it's a weird feeling,I can't really describe it. You should find out what your lab values were. Sometimes it's only off by a tiny bit, but they still recommend it.
