@skkr1191, I'm sorry your going through all of this. It's really hard and I know the frustration. Hang in there and demand answers. She needs to be evaluated and don't take no for an answer. Children with these type of issues don't sleep as much and even with my son not taking any naps he at times will stay up until 11 or 12 depending on the day. It's exhausting.

If you have ever heard of the oils that people sell. My husbands son can't sleep at night and we put lavender oils on his wrist, the bottom of his feet, and behind his ears. And it works wonders.☺️

@foreveryoung247, I've tried cutting naps out completely and she'll still stay up until 12-2am. My SO's brother is autistic and has to take melatonin and his Mom said it's been a life saver. @sarahemccormick I'm going to in just waiting for my insurance to pull threw since I just moved into a new state. They've been giving me a run around for 2 months now with it. So until then I'm trying to find anything to help. Little to no sleep isn't okay for a 4 year old and I think that's part of why she lashes out. The more I discipline her the more she acts out. We were at a play last night and she kept kicking me so I told her to stop. She looked me in the eyes, smiled, and kicked me again and then threw a fit when I said we were going to the car. In front of everyone. I just need rest. I'm so tired from being pregnant that I want to cry because I know something is going on in her head but nothing I do helps her. @nyckolle00 I'll look into it. I just hope our insurance hurries up. 😔

I would pass on the melatonin and talk to your doctor about getting a sleep study done. I would probably recommend something like this. it seems to help a lot of other people and it's designed for kids. if you have a Facebook page I'd check them out.

I would take her to her pediatrician and speak with him about the behavioral stuff thats going on, since it seems repetetive and as though it could get worse. She may have a conduct disorder or ADHD or something else going on. This is somewhat how ny son started out when he was about 5, and he is 12 now. He was diagnosed at age 10 with bipolar 2 disorder (much different from Bipolar 1) and after three wrong diagnoses (they thought ADHD at first, then some other things) and he had to try different types of meds to find something that worked. She might be young, but now is the time to intervene. Based upon the stuff you responded with the other day, I would have her seen and ask for a referral to a child psychologist for evaluation and perhaps counseling before things get any worse. Melatonin it will definitely help, my fiancé gets night terrors and lie that he takes melatonin he sleeps like a baby.

Does she nap? I stopped giving my Lo melatonin bc I've heard mixed things about it. I void letting him nap aswell but he's had sleep issues for as long as I can remember
