@mommabear3cubs, oh hell no I would be really mad @mrspavlides I'm not sure I'm gonna discuss with my OB @royalmommy where do you live ? @missyowl92 I love the idea of water birth @islanddreamer07 my whole pregnancy I live in the shower pretty much ! I take more than 5 baths a day lol @missyowl92 I didn't know you still have the option of an epidural @lposchx and I deff do not want to tear !! 🙅🏻

@lposchx, definitely another reason why I'm doing it. It also softens and makes the perineum a little more flexible too. Unfortunately the hospital I'm going to won't let me deliver in the tub but I can start pushing, just the last push or two I have to be out of the water.

water birthing also helps with tearing! being able to squat opens you up to 30% more so there's less chance of tearing. - I'm going to a hospital about an hour away just so I can birth in their tub.

@mrspavlides, just because you choose a water birth doesn't mean you can't ask for an epidural, the only thing is if you decided the epidural is what you need then you can't stay in the tub so you could try it and see if it's working for you but if not the epidural would still be an option.

there's no place in my area but I agree that it would be best. I would have felt most comfortable standing in a hot tub with luke warm water.

that sounds great I may have to look more into this the sooner I know the information the better thank you for your reply @missyowl92 I'm just unsure if I would make it without medication (epidural). But I will research more into it again thank you 😄☺

@mrspavlides, your physician can do it if they have training in water birth. I'm doing a water birth at the hospital I'm delivering at and my doctor is the head of the obstetricians department and he's done tons of water births. I don't want any medication or medical intervention at all unless completely necessary and this is the best way to go in my opinion. The warm water will help with labor pains and buoyancy (make you feel a bit lighter), and you're not stuck on the bed the whole time.

I wish I could do that but I don't know where the center is around me.

you would need a midwife for that or am I wrong? can your normal physician do it?

@mommabear3cubs, the baby still has time to turn even though he's breech that's so stupid ! I really love the idea of a water birth ! I love the bath it's relaxing and the thought of warm water while in labor and in pain sounds soothing and some what helpful

I wanted to! but the birthing center near me refused me as a patient cause my baby is breech even tho I'm only 25wks.
