for me it was a pain in my butt.. but I was still up and walking that same day.. it split open on the ends a few times and bled but it eventually closed up. took me about 6-7 weeks to fully heal. @chelsearomano

@mumof2, I used to get excruciating cramps !! They suck and very heavy periods ! Most of the time the first two nights of my period I couldn't sleep ! @fnsxo.01 ahhhh that sounds like nothing fun at all ! How was it c section wise and recovery

I didn't do it naturally, about 15 hours after they broke my water I had to go in for a c section because my boy was being stubborn and wouldn't come down

don't be if you had a period with bad cramps then you have an idea of what to expect

@mumof2, kudos to you I pray I don't have to do it without one unless by the grace of god I feel I can manage without one ! I wanted to go natural but I'm also afraid of the pain

I was! it was a painful 42 hours in labor with no meds to help the contractions. @chelsearomano

I had two spirals, which go into your spine further than the epidurals. I am petrified of needles and watched way too many birthing shows. It honestly feels like a pinch and once you're in pain that pinch does not even matter. You'll do just fine! Just think of the pinch you feel will make you so much better feeling.

trust me you don't even feel it... I had my first with epidural my second I had natural because it was too late to get one

@mumof2, Oh yay ! Lol but my mom told me you can't get one to soon or to late ! Maybe if I'm lucky I will have one of those labors that I'm in all day and have no idea like my mom and hair stylist described I rather that lol and needles don't bother me the catheter to pee and the catheter in my back from the epidural sounds uncomfortable .. But needles don't bother me I have lots of tattoo it's just the thought of stuff in my spine 🙈😁

I couldn't even get epidural, it wasn't going in . had to use iv meds which did not work either

it's just like getting a shot just a little pinch compared to the labor you are going to feel

if u have a low threshold for pain then an epidural should make you happy lol
