Ok so obviously you ladies see my husband and I's race differentiation. The cake lady has not met him nor knows his race . She only knows me and my mom. But the baby that I want on top of the cake I want to resemble my son a little. Yes I do not know what he will look like , but I do know he will not be a darker complexion. I have a feeling she thinks my hubby is chocolate . We have other members in our family who are mixed with what my husband an I are and they are caramel tannish (if that's the word) . How do I go about telling her this without seeming like a skin judging asshole? I feel like nervous to tell her because I don't want to seem so anal about skin color.

Side note with no sun I revert to almost yellow , my husband reverts to borderline white .

You don't want her to put a baby with darker complexion on the cake bc you want it to resemble both of you? I would tell her just like you told us.. doesn't sound horrible at all. Or you can ask her if you can pick the baby piece you want on your cake? Or even get one elsewhere?

So cute! lol & you shouldnt feel bad just tell her your bf's mexican and you would love for the piece to resemble you both. She will understand trust me. It doesnt sound as bad as you think. ☺
