Aww thank you! I've been on it for over a year after struggling with addiction. I've had kidney problems since I was 16 and after many surgeries and a lot of pain, found myself addicted to painkillers. Went to rehab for a month, got clean and my doctor put me on suboxone. I'm on a low dose (4mg/day) and my OB did not want me to come off for my pregnancy, as it would've been more risky for the baby to be subjected to withdrawal than to stay on it. I've been very upset the whole 31 weeks I've been pregnant because I know she will have to withdraw from the Suboxone when she is born. The average hospital stay for babies coming off of it is 15 days and I wouldn't be able to stay there with her. Makes me extremely sad and overwhelmed with guilt. But from what I've read, only 50% of babies have to stay in the NICU and have a bad experience with it. So I'm just curious. Sometimes "wait and see" is harder than knowing for sure, even if it's bad news. Thank you for the ear and for the prayers... All are greatly appreciated! I know there will be judgement from some, but I've got nothing but positive support from family, friends and doctors. I know God will see us through. 💗
